events
we put on festivals and contests with the intention of highlighting marginalized creators.

We take the statement "Make a seat at the table" very seriously.

The inclusive push in entertainment still isn't moving fast. Entertainment is still making firsts for marginalized actors, writers, directors, and more. America is more diverse than what we see on screen and is much more diverse than who's available behind the scenes. So why aren't we seeing that? Why aren't more marginalized people getting the opportunities? Some companies claim it's due to lack of visibility. Well if that's the issue, then we can solve that. Putting on festivals, contests, workshops, programs, screening, mixers, everything we can to make sure that marginalized people are seen. So companies no longer can say diversity recruitment is due to lack of visibility.

our events

Our goal is to provide space for the Asian-American and Pacific Islander community to shine in their creativity.

In 2020, the AAPI community began to speak out about the abuse they experience due to racially charged rhetoric surrounding COVID-19. But the issue didn’t receive widespread attention until the Atlanta Spa shootings got nationwide media coverage in March. Eight people were killed in the mass shooting, six of whom were of Asian descent. And the violence continues in 2022.

At entertwine, a key component of our mission is to amplify the voices of the silent. That’s why we make space for AAPI voices with our writing competition.
Why horror?

And why must teams be women-led?

Because not all women like romcoms…Some women like bloody, scary, jump-out-of-your-seat movies that give you nightmares for a week.

And the horror genre has traditionally left WOC out of the conversation.

We’re here to change that.Which is why, we can’t wait to see your work and get nightmares from it.
